In her work she represents the classical ‘tre grazie’; splendor, joy and prosperity that stand for ‘perfection’ - something we human beings, in different ways and manners try to achieve.
The ‘tre grazie’ though, are represented in a grotesque way - so to say, no splendor, not joyous and without prosperity. Maria Cristina visualizes what might happen if we search for perfection without taking in account nature as a part of us.
